Clinical Practice Guidelines Clinical Practice Guidelines are scientifically developed statements to help practitioners and patients make decisions about appropriate treatment options. UMBH has adopted clinical practice guidelines for several different behavioral health conditions. These guidelines have been developed by national medical societies including the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).
