Contacting Care Management Staff Regarding Utilization Management/Management of Benefits

Care Management staff is available to answer calls from practitioners and enrollees who have questions or concerns regarding utilization management processes. All UMBH Care Managers are licensed masters-level clinicians and are available twenty-four hours per day for urgent or emergent cases and for potential inpatient admissions. They are available for routine requests from Monday through Friday, 8:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Routine requests include assisting enrollees in identifying appropriate referrals and answering any questions regarding routine authorization matters.

Inbound telephone calls are accepted 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Outbound communications regarding inquiries about Care Management (utilization management) are initiated during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
